Amazing Family Tour of Myanmar
An amazing trip for the whole family to immerse into one of the most mythical countries in the world. You will catch up unforgettable memories with elephants in the camp of Green Hill Valley, and then spend time to relax in poetic Inle Lake on board after the religious sightseeing in Yangon and Bagan.
On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide, then transfer to hotel. We begin our journey in the heart of Myanmar, the beautiful formal capital, Yangon. Despite being of a bustling city, Yangon still has an intriguing charm with magnificent pagodas, picturesque lakes and beautiful colonial buildings. We will stroll around streets to see different colonial buildings with unique architectures. Turn our way to Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda which houses the largest Reclining Buddha image in the country. The last stop of our first day will be Shwedagon Pagoda. Here you can experience one of the most spectacular sunset view at sunset when the colorful lights begin to shine the golden pagoda. As the sun begins to shine, we will welcome this day by a ‘circular train’ tour around Yangon and its surrounding areas. It will offer a great chance to mingle with local people, as well as enjoy the view inside and outside the city. Afternoon, we will proceed to Bogyoke Market, an ideal place for your family to wander around to see different products. This market is the biggest selection of Burma’s traditional handicrafts and souvenirs with over 2000 shops. Then turn to Kandawgyi Park, the lush green garden with variety colorful fragrant flowers to relax and get some fresh air. Enjoy the attractive sunset when the glittering Shwedagon is reflected in Kandawgyi Lake. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Yangon.
Have breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for a morning flight to Bagan, one of the richest archaeological sites in Asia with thousands tempes, pagodas, and ancient stupas, providing view quite unlike anywhere else on the earth. Upon arrival,we will explore some magnificents monuments in Bagan, including Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype for later pagodas in the country, the most beautiful and well preserved Ananda Temple, the massive red-bricked Htilominlo Temple, the magnificent in white with panoramic view Thatbyinnyu Temple… In the late afternoon, visit Shwesandaw Pagoda where we will enjoy the breathtaking view of the whole region sunk into sunset. In the fourth day of our tour, we will first visit lively Nyaung U morning market, where you can find variety of local products from fresh vegetables and fruits to handicrafts, meet local people and know how they conduct their daily life. Continue bicycle tour to immerse into local’s life by a visit to the villages of Min Nan Thu and Phwa Saw, which specialize in making lacquer. Here your family can observe steps of making famous Burmeses lacquer, or try creating some products to bring them home as souvenirs. Overnight in Bagan.
(*)Option: Take a hot air balloon ride in the early morning to see the plains of thousands temples and pagodas lit up below. It is breathtaking scenery, an amazing experience.
Get up and refresh this day by an exploration to Nyaung Hla village which is the roost location for the giant bat. This spectacular colony is home to some 3500 individuals, which are the natural treasure for the village and for Myanmar. From the village return to new Bagan where we will visit to Lawkanandar Wildlife Sanctuary, an oasis of tropical Bagan. The sanctuary is the home of Burmese star tortoise, Eld’s deer, and other rare species. We also can enjoy the whole view of Irrawaddy River and see its specialized species, Irrawaddy dolphin. Our driver will transfer you back to hotel.
The rest of the day is time at leisure. Overnight in Bagan.
After breakfast at hotel, we will transfer to Nyaung U Airport for domestic flight to Heho. From Heho, one- hour scenic drive lead to Kalaw. Known as Myanmar’s trekking mecca, it is a peaceful hill station with laid back atmosphere and refreshing climate. Afternoon, your family can walk around Kalaw to get the remarkable views of hill station, market, and bordering hills.

Morning transfer from Kalaw to Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp (in Magwe village). Upon arrival, meet the guide, transfer to the main camp. Walk 5-7 minutes to elephant village, and see the life of mahouts and their family. We will have time to introduce with our elephants and feed them daily prepared foods. Then go to the river where elephants bath, and join in bathing them. Having an experience of riding on elephant’s back after washing if the weather condition and elephant’s health permit. Lunch at the main camp. After that, explore the conservation area to see butterflies, birds and orchids. Enjoy the view through valley. Say good bye to the elephants, drive to Inle. Overnight in Inle.
Enjoy delightful breakfast at hotel, then we will start our excursion by boat to Inle Lake. Inle Lake is the second largest lake in Myanmar, home of Inthar people famous for one- leg paddling technique. First visit 5-day market with numerous local’s goods and produces. Continue to across the lake to pass floating villages with stilted houses and beautiful floating gardens. Proceed to Inpawkhone village to observe traditional weaving technique of Inthar people, especially the weaving of stems of lotus making the unique fabrics in the world. Take a stop at cheroot factory where people make handmade Burmese cigar. Our visit also includes Phaung Daw U Pagoda, the holiest sites in the area. Overnight in Inle.
Breakfast at hotel, then we will take boat to Indein, a small village in the Western shore of the lake through a long narrow creek. Wander around to see the daily life of the Pa Oh. Walk in a stair path leading to the hidden cluster of ruined pagodas, Nyaung Ohak. Continue to climb up to the top of the hill where Shwe Inn Thein Pagoda is located. From here, enjoy the panoramic view of the whole village and surrounding area. Relax and have a picnic lunch among the bamboo forest if you like. Leave Indein, drive to Heho to take a flight back to Yangon.

After breakfast at hotel, you will have leisure time before your guide escorts you to the airport for the eparture flight.
