6 most asked questions about myanmar
Absolutely, it is a safe place to visit. Most of the country is considered safe by Myanmar government. Insurgency problems near the Indian and Thai borders are in areas far off the beaten track and will not affect a traveller’s journey through Myanmar in any way.
Roughly saying, the best time is about from October until March next year. For this period, you can enjoy mild weather, it’s sunny but not too hot (23 to 30 degree temperature). It doesn’t mean that from April to September you shouldn’t travel to Myanmar. During this time, the weather is quite hot or there is heavy rain, but not everywhere and every time. The whole country is green and beautiful enough for your Myanmar trip, and it is even more joyful while you may get sweet and amazing discounts.
Traveling the whole Myanmar may cost a lot of time. For regular travellers, there are four places that you should take into account (we consider them as the “big-four”):
– Yangon: the former capital city, and usually the first destination of most trips to Myanmar, home to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda
– Bagan: the largest archaeological site with thousands of temples scattered over 40 km square
– Inle Lake: the emerald lake nested among high mountains in Shan plateau, the true heaven for nature lovers
– Mandalay: the cultural hub and ancient city with royal relics
Besides these four, the extension would be Golden Rock, Kalaw, Pindaya, Ngapali Beach, and more.
